What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Cocktails and appetizers will be served at 3 p.m. and guests are welcome to arrive starting at that time to grab a drink and a nibble before the ceremony starts at 4 p.m.

Will I need my kazoo?

While kazoos are by no means a requirement, guests are welcome to bring any kazoo they wish to the wedding.

Where should I park?

A parking area is provided outside of the lodge for approximately 100 people. If driving, please remember to drink responsibly. We love our guests and want them to be safe.

Where do I take my kiddos during the ceremony and reception?

Child care will be provided at a private cabin, Summit Oasis #76, a short drive from the Lodge. View this map to see the exact location within the Brother's Cove property. The cabin is on the street (also called Carson's Ridge -- I know, confusing!) with cabins #58, 59, 60, 61 and next door to #73, and NOT on the road labeled Nickel's Ridge. (The map doesn't make that clear)

What is the dress code?

Your Easter Sunday finest will work perfectly for our event - formal, but not black tie. The wedding party will be wearing navy suits and pastel dresses.

May I bring my pet tarantula with me?

We kindly ask that you leave your pet tarantula at home for the wedding.

Do you have any recommendations for restaurants in the area?

Grandmother's Kitchen on Wears Valley Road is a great country breakfast spot.
Bennett's BBQ in Gatlinburg is a family favorite.
Cherokee Grill in Gatlinburg is a favorite of Annie's.
The Apple Barn in Townsend has more apple-related products than you could hope for.
Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen is a Southern chain that the Yarbroughs are big fans of.

What will the weather be like?

The Smokies are typically about ten degrees cooler than nearby Knoxville. Late spring and early summer temperatures are usually in the 70s and 80s with a chance of a passing rainstorm (fun fact: the area is considered temperate rainforest). Keep an eye on the forecast and consider packing an umbrella. If the weather is rainy, the ceremony will take place inside the lodge.
